Défaite surprise du 3e du championnat face à une équipe qui était en perte de vitesse...en tout cas sa confirme une chose tout le monde peut battre tout le monde dans le 2e championnat à 10 clubs. "Hamilton were well-organised in the first half, passed the ball well and we didn't have enough in our locker today to do anything about it for long periods.
"Football has shown that you do get breaks for and against you. I don't think we've moaned about referees for a long, long time. And we're not going to start now.
"Barry Robson did exactly what we needed today. We felt we needed some width and that's why we brought Paul Caddis. There's more to come from him.
"Hartley scored a terrific goal. We're fortunate that we've got one or two players who can do exceptional things at the right moment.

Le match des extrêmes se termine par une courte et difficile victoire des triples champions en titre, bien aidé par l'arbitre qui leur a permis de revenir au score sur un pénalty et une expulsion chez les locaux qui a obligé les Accies a joué à dix pendant plus de 50 minutes.

Désolé du retard...MAJ A VENIR TRES VITE!!!
MISE A JOUR SPL des 12e & 13e journées DEMAIN...si tout va bien plus le pt sur les blessés au Celtic
En tout cas le Celtic fait la bonne opération en creusant l'écart sur les Rangers avec beaucoup de joueurs de 2e choix. 9e victoire consécutive, 11 victoires en 13 journées seuls accros contre le 2e & le...3e du classement, rien de bien inquiettant si ce n'est que le Celtic est incapable de gagner contre les grosses cylindrés que ce soit en SPL ou champion's league.
A venir aussi le point sur le groupe E de la ligue des champions avec les différements scénarios possibles.

Les Rangers arrachent le match nul chez eux en match en retard de la 9e journée face à Dundee Utd

Disparition - L'ancien millionaire et propriétaire de Gretna FC est décédé
Brooks Mileson, le richissime propriétaire du club de Gretna FC, club qu'il a façonné de nul part, puisque ce club est issu d'un village écossais d'environ 3000 âmes situé à proximité de la frontière (côte Ouest) avec l'Angleterre, est décédé lundi matin à l'âge de 60 ans (il allait avoir 61 ans le 13 novembre porchain) des suites d'une longue maladie. Ses problèmes de santé avait concraint la ligue écossaise à prendre le contrôle du club & de geler les finances du club en cours de saison dernière. Sous la houlette de ce millionaire anglais ce club est passé des profondeurs des ligues anglaises régionales à l'élité écossaise accompagné d'un 2e tour préliminaire de la coupe UEFA perdu face à Derry City et obtenu grace à leur place de finaliste de la coupe d'Ecosse 2006 (finale perdue aux tirs au but après un match nul 1-1 face aux Hearts). Après avoir enchainé 3 montées succesives jusqu'à la Scottish Premier League depuis le plus bas niveau national écossais, cette accession dans l'élite fut fatale au club qui a eu dégresser son effectif au sortir de l'hiver pour pouvoir terminer la saison suite à l'annonce d'un déficit de £3m. Paradoxalement les résultats furent légèrement meilleurs en toute fin de saison alors que le club n'avait jamais été classé mieux que 11e depuis le début de la saison, récoltant que très peu de victoires. Pénalisé de 10 pts et relégué sur tapis vert en 4e division écossaise (scottish division three) et après la mise en vente du club par les actionnaires, faute de repreneurs, le club fit finalement faillite. A noter que le club devait aussi jouer tous ses matchs de SPL à l'extérieur au Fir Park de Motherwell, car son stade n'était pas aux normes requises exigées par la SPL (6000 places). Cette histoire en rappelle une autre plus récente à l'étranger, à savoir la belle aventure du TSG 1899 Hoffenheim qui occupe actuellement la première place de la Bundesliga en Allemagne après avoir gravi rapidement les échelons du football allemand grâce au mécènat du milliardaire allemand Dietmar Hopp orginaire de ce village de 3500 âmes & qui a décidé de faire de son club de coeur un grand club, à noter que la construction d'un stade de 30 000 places est en cours.

2004/05...une saison de records!!!
Parmi ses records on retiendra celui de 2005...qui est le record européen toutes compétitions & niveaux nationaux confondus à savoir le record de la promotion obtenue le plus tôt dans une saison (février) avec 98 pts pris sur 108 possible. Avec 130 buts marqués sur cette même saison 2004/05 en 36 matchs (soit une moyenne de 3,61 buts par matchs) c'est l'un des records des ligues de Grande-Bretagne.

Un championnat toujours aussi fous & à deux vistesses d'un côté on a un duel entre le Celtic & les Rangers de 38 round de l'autre à championnat à 10 clubs où tout le monde peut battre tout le monde sur n'importe quel terrain & au final tout le monde peut prendre la 3e place comme être relégué en fin de saison, même si John Hartson consultant télé de Setant Sport dégage 3 équipes qui vont lutter pour éviter la dernière place synonyme de relégation: St Mirren, Inverness CT & Hamilton Academical...wait & see!!! Grâce à son triplé Kris Boyd recole à la première place du classement des buteurs avec 8 réalisation mais il bénéficie de la blessure de Samaras qui l'a privée des trois dernières journées de championnat...il pourrait être rétablis à temps pour le match de ligue des champions face à Manchester Utd. Les Rangers grâce à leur large victoire 5-0 sur Inverness (score acqui à la pause) pourraient reprendre la première place en cas de victoire ce soir dans le match en retard de la 9e journée face à Dundee Utd. United qui reste justement sur de bons matchs et se retrouve désormais dans le haut du classement alors qu'Inverness & Hamilton à contrario ont plongé dans le bas du classement...Hamilton enchainant au passage une 6e défaite consécutive.

Stats des joueurs du Celtic saison 2008/09
Hamilton qui vient de concéder une 5e défaite consécutive face aux Rangers cette fois se retouvre dernier après occupé la première place lors des deux premières journées de championnat. Le Celtic conserve 3 pts d'avance sur les Rangers qui comptent un match en moins face à Dundee Utd qui a été reporté lors de la 9e journée suite au décès d'un cancer du président de United. Mais le Celtic doit surtout sa première place grace à sa très bonne attaque dans le championnat (ce qui n'est pas le ca en ligue des champions, seule équipe à ne pas avoir inscrit le moindre but) car sa défense & à l'inverse est loin d'être la meilleure. Lors de la 10e journée, le Celtic a éprouvé comme l'on pouvait s'y attendre beaucoup de difficultés pour battre Hibernian puisque bien que deux buts d'avance en première période, les Hibees sont revenus à 2-2 avant de craquer deux fois à nouveau en 2e période. A noter la première titularisation du jeunes espoir irlandais Cillian Sheridan (19 ans) & la première apparition de Pat McCourt qui a joué 3 minutes, ces deux joueurs doivent leur opportunités aux nombreuses absences pour blessures en attaque (Killen, VoH & Samaras).
